Account Development Lead

Reporting directly to the Vice President - Talent Acquisition & Workforce Solutions (VP), the Account Development Lead is responsible for generating revenue by developing existing major account clients. The primary role of the Account Development Manager will engage client contacts (hiring manager / decision makers) and key contractors to identify and win business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identification of client leads and securing quality job vacancies in the Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources Market sectors. 

  • Build relationships our clients with hiring managers / decision makers to ensure a thorough understanding of organizational needs and candidate selection criteria.

  • Assist in the development, implementation and the delivery of EnerTech’s business development and marketing strategy for the Energy business within the Talent Acquisition business unit. 

  • Supporting the recruitment teams to transition relationships into a successful service delivery / account management mode of operation.

  • Networking with EnerTech’s current contractors to establish qualified leads and help to ensure they are being supported and valued

  • Supporting activities will include but not limited to; interfacing with recruitment managers to align service delivery, marketing and event coordination.

  • Participate in industry networking activities to develop relationships, build employment brand and identify potential sourcing opportunities

  • Utilize company database to record and track business development activities.

  • Provide the VP – Talent Acquisition, and occasionally COO with regular business development progress reports



  • Minimum of 5 years of account development and technical recruiting knowledge and experience, preferably within the Canadian oil and gas / energy, infrastructure and natural resources market sectors.

  • Previous experience in managing and developing major global clients

  • Proven track record of oil and gas / energy related business development and recruitment delivery

  • Clear, articulate communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external clients at senior levels

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and customer service skills
